  • Building on over 30 years of membrane technology leadership, Veolia expands its portfolio to offer customers choice and flexibility in meeting their specific regulatory environments.
Veolia, the global leader in water technologies, today announced the development of a new generation of ultrafiltration membranes engineered without PVDF. This portfolio expansion aims to address evolving regulatory requirements particularly in Europe, while maintaining the high-performance standards that define Veolia’s technology globally.

Used by cities and industries worldwide in drinking water, wastewater and water reuse applications, Veolia's membranes have set the global standard for efficiency, reliability and lifespan for over 30 years. Veolia will continue to offer its industry-leading existing membranes, including PVDF-based solutions. The new non-PVDF generation complements the portfolio, giving customers additional options to meet evolving regulatory requirements.

This portfolio diversification demonstrates Veolia’s commitment to technological advancement and agility to adapt to evolving regulatory and market requirements in line with its GreenUp strategic program.

Anne Le Guennec, CEO of Veolia’s water technology activities, said:
"By expanding our membrane technology portfolio, we're enabling customers to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes without compromising on performance. This is what it means to lead: anticipating change and providing solutions before they're required. And that commitment to performance and responsibility is what defines Veolia's DNA and innovation strategy."

The new non-PVDF membranes will be manufactured at Veolia's facility in Oroszlany, Hungary, and will be made available as regulatory requirements and market conditions warrant. This production complements Veolia's existing manufacturing footprint across North America, Asia and Europe, enabling the company to serve customers with tailored solutions wherever they operate.
